Hakone Yumoto's hot spring is said to date back to the Nara period. Our bath draws from this same ancient flow — mildly alkaline, gentle on skin, renowned for its soothing properties.
Creaking floorboards, carved transom screens, light filtering through the engawa. The building has been carefully maintained to preserve what makes a Japanese wooden inn special.

DINING
Fish from Sagami Bay, dried seafood from Odawara, wild greens from the Hakone highlands. Our cook knows the local larder deeply and builds a fresh monthly kaiseki from it.
Respecting the ingredient — not disguising it — is the kitchen's guiding principle. Please inform us of any dietary requirements when booking.

Yumoto is the gateway to Hakone. Old sweet shops, a clear mountain river, ancient pilgrim roads — your exploration begins the moment you step outside.
