Hakone Yumoto's spring has soothed travellers since the Nara period. At Fukushimakan, three baths draw from this same ancient source — indoor, open-air, and private.

A stone outdoor bath overlooking the inn's small courtyard garden. Ideal for a quiet soak under the evening sky. Gender rotation applies.
Reserve the whole bath for your group. Available in one-hour slots — please book at the front desk.
BATH GUIDE
Open 6:00–23:00. Gender rotation applies. The all-hinoki interior makes every soak feel indulgent. Morning bathing is especially recommended.
Open 6:00–22:00. Gender rotation applies. A quiet evening soak while gazing at the courtyard is the inn's quintessential experience.
Available 15:00–21:00. One-hour slots, ¥1,500 per hour. Reserve at the front desk for complete privacy.
Stay hydrated before and after. 15–20 minutes per session is ideal. Bathing about an hour before bed is said to improve sleep quality significantly.
SOURCE
The water is an alkaline simple spring — clear, virtually odourless, and famously gentle on skin. With a pH of around 8.5, it has soothed generations of weary travellers.
