THE STORY OF ASHINOYU SPRING
Ashinoyu Onsen is one of the oldest hot spring resorts among Hakone's eight springs. Described in Edo-period travel writings as 'white cloudy sulphur waters,' it has long attracted travelers seeking healing.
The sulphur spring bubbling up at an elevation exceeding 800 meters contains abundant hydrogen sulphide ions, and is considered highly effective for skin conditions, neuralgia, and chronic fatigue.
