HAKONE YUMOTO ONSEN · 12 ROOMS

When the moon rises,
the old inn of Yumoto
comes alive.

A 10-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Tsukinoya has stood quietly off the main street since its founding, every detail — the rooms, the baths, the decor — shaped around the moon. As evening deepens, the inn glows.

10 min from Yumoto Station Moon-viewing outdoor bath 12 quiet rooms Gentle alkaline spring

A Yumoto inn shaped
by the moon's rhythms.

Tsukinoya is a 12-room historic inn set back from Yumoto's bustle.
Every alcove, every bath, every corridor echoes the inn's moon motif — a philosophy that moongazing is the deepest rest.

Yumoto's simple alkaline spring is clear and gentle — the kind that soaks into tired muscles slowly. Tsukinoya's three baths are named for the moon's phases: new, half, and full. Same water, three different moods.

All 12 rooms carry moon-inspired names. From check-in to departure, the inn keeps the moon close. The shopping street is a short walk away whenever you want it.

Four things only a small inn can offer.

Family-scale closeness over hotel-scale convenience.
